Salutations...

I am Ronan Maharaj, a full stack software developer with a knack for digging deep into the nuts and bolts of technologies. I love getting under the hood of the systems and tools I work with, making sure I really get how they work on a fundamental level.

Lately, I've been flexing my low-level programming muscles by building a NES emulator in Rust! I'm also proud of this peer-to-peer game I built using linux sockets where I got to have a lot of fun learning about networking.

When I'm not lost in coding, I've been focusing on leveling up myself, min-maxing my life. Right now, I’m experimenting with a modified version of Andrew Huberman’s routine. I’m up at 5:30, go for a run, and then brace yourself jump into a cold shower. I’ve also been adding more to my self-improvement toolbox, like working out, meditating, and using Pomodoro timers to stay focused. Always looking for ways to optimize, whether it’s in code or life!

As a retro gaming connoisseur, I serve as the treasure(r) of the Retro Games Club at my university, where I get to gush with others about a better time. I'm really into 'retro' technology in general like flip-phones, old computers etc.

I love meeting new people! If you're new, feel free to contact me. If you're not, still feel free to message me anyway! Reasons you can contact me include but are not limited to:

  • Finding a minor optimization in one of my programs
    • Bonus points if it's only a couple cpu cycles faster
  • An obscure and convuluted T-Spin setup/sequence. Check out this insanity
  • A cute bear video

Feel free to reach out to me at my email or connect with me on LinkedIn. Looking forward to hearing from you!
